Lean UX, Agile UX, Google Design Sprint. What all these UX methodologies have in common. First of all, they work great together so this is not me trying say that one is better than the other but they all have a slightly different scope. . I will get into Lean and Agile UX in details the next days but in short this is what it's all about: . Lean UX: - deliver as fast as possible, observe and learn later - tests on real users from the beginning - great for mvps Agile UX: - goes through more iterations and ships a more refined product - works with shorts sprints with small focuses, close with development team - great for ongoing products Design Sprint: - works best for business strategies, defining features - iterate ideas first, build later - great for new features . . . . . #ux #ui #designtools #userexperience #uxd #uxprocess #uxresearch #webdesign #uxigers #userinterface #uxuidesign #uiux #uxui #uxdesign #uidesign #uxinspiration #designthinking #uxdesignmastery #usability #sketchapp #adobexd #designprocess #interactiondesign #leanux #agile #agiledevelopment #agiledesign #designsprint

If you're facilitating a design sprint (or any workshop for that matter), at the very least, you need to make sure that everyone understands what they're supposed to do. If your participants aren't familiar with the exercises, you'll need to make sure that you use this formula to explain them.⠀ Happy Workshopping!⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ #facilitation #workshop #workshops #designsprint #designthinking #uxdesign #uxui #productdesign #userresearch #designinspo #startup #innovation #innovator #innovators

The perfect design process does not exist💔 ⠀ Courtesy of @tomkoszyk ⠀ It can vary from industry to industry or even from company to company. And that’s great. ⠀ The design process can be described from many perspectives: Design Thinking concentrates on the way one should approach problem instead of deliverables or strict process. Design Sprint is more specific: map (problem), sketch, decide, prototype and test. And there are many others like Double Dimond. ⠀ What all of them have in common is a belief that you first need to discover the problem you want to solve. Only then you can work on possible solutions (step by step) and at the end, test it and improve. ⠀ Today I’d like to present to you my approach to digital process. ⠀ The process follows the same rules, but it adds the layer of deliverables and gives you a more specific idea when to work on which artefact and how! ⠀ 1️⃣ Phase: UX Strategy This phase is all about problem discovery and solution ideation. We use different methodologies like research and workshops to outline the problem and then ideate on high-level solution ideas ⠀ 2️⃣ Phase: UX Design We focus on translating high-level concepts into more tangible artefacts like user flows or information architecture. The final deliverable at this phase is a prototype. ⠀ 3️⃣ Phase Visual Design The last step of the process is all about aesthetics: implementing brand visual identity into our prototype. The result is not only the actual design but all other artefacts for future development. ⠀ ⚡️ Bonus — tool of the day: ⠀ FlowKit — allows designers to create frighteningly fast user flows within Sketch and Figma. ⠀ Check this out 👉 http://bit.ly/2PVq6pg ⠀ 💬 If you have any questions, shoot us in comments, we’re going to answer them all! ⠀ 📳 Turn on post notifications❗️ don’t miss curated marketing insights and design tips @deenoize + @hellotegra ⠀ 📖 Don’t forget to add this post to Saved ❤️

What's a book that drastically changed your perspective on something? 📚 For us, it needs to be "Sprint: How to solve big problems and test new ideas in just five days" by Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky. 💛 Reading the book back in 2016 gave us a major "aha" moment. It made us realize that Design Sprint is the recipe for starting projects, structuring discussions, and committing to a plan of action to get meaningful work done. It opened our eyes to the world of workshops and facilitation.

Do you find it difficult to make decisions at work? A big reason we love working with the Design Sprint process is that we make decisions quickly, but create the space to “test” those decisions before sinking all our resources into the project. . . . . . . . . . #success #entrepreneur #inspiration #motivation #business #successmindset #designsprint #designthinking #designer #uxdesign #uxui #uidesigner #decisionmaking

Save this one for the next time you’re running a workshop design sprint or training! 💫⁣ ⁣ In my experience these are just a few things that will take your workshop to the next level, there are of course many more, but the image doesn’t look as great when there are more than 9 blocks! ⁣ ⁣ I’m dying to know what you would add to this list and I swear that’s not a prob to get more comments on this post... 😬 ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #designsprint #workshop #designthinking #facilitation #success #managertips #workshopping #moderationtips #facilitationtips #facilitator #facilitationskills

How to Run a Successful Design Sprint A few years ago I was introduced to the design sprint which is a process developed by GV to solve business problems. I'm such a huge fan of this approach because it takes you from 0 to a tested prototype in just five days and it can be used both for new product ideas and to improve existing ones. So I thought I would write up a quick guide for anyone else who was curious and wanted to try this process. It is best for when you have a team of people, but it can be adapted for individual work and can even be condensed if needed. If you are intrigues there is an official book you can get to read more about the process and get insight to some real life examples. Have you been involved in any design sprints? My 3 favourite exercises from the Design Sprint workshop method 👇 1. Defining Long-Term Goal 📌 Having one clear goal helps participants be focused on the same aspect during the sprint. 2. Sketching Crazy 8s ✏️ Crazy 8s sketching exercise is the quickest way to ideate in the ideation day. 3. Defining Key Actions in User Journeys 🕹 Understanding key steps in user journeys helps participants create a cohesive user experience. What are your favourite exercises from the Design Sprint? Let me know in the comments! 🤓 . . . #designsprintworkshop #uxworkshops #uxdesign #uxideation #designthinking

The term Design Sprint has been circling the creative industry for quite some time. ⠀ ⠀ But what is a Design Sprint? ⠀ ⠀ The Design Sprint is a 5-day process for answering critical business questions through design, prototyping and testing ideas with customers.⠀ ⠀ 🎭 Set the Stage - you’ll need to have the right challenge and the right team.⠀ ⠀ 🎯 Monday - you’ll start at the end and agree to a long-term goal.⠀ ⠀ ✏️ Tuesday - you get to focus on solutions, You can’t prototype and test them all—you need one solid plan.⠀ ⠀ ✅ Wednesday - You and your team will have a stack of solutions.⠀ ⠀ 🧪 Thursday - you’ll adopt a “fake it” philosophy to turn that storyboard into a prototype.⠀ ⠀ 🚀 Friday - You’ve created promising solutions, chosen the best, and built a realistic prototype.⠀ ⠀ Working together in a sprint, you can shortcut the endless debate cycle and compress months into a single week.⠀ ⠀ Have you used the Design Sprint technique? ⠀ ⠀ Let me know in the comments below. ⠀ 👇👇👇👇👇👇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🏷⠀⠀ #userexperiencedesign #growbusiness #businessgoals #uxui #businesstips #startupbusiness #uxeducation #uxmatters #researchmethods #designsprint #uxtechnique #uxmethods #businesstips #uxuidesign #uxdesigner #ux #ux101 #uxmatters #learnux #uxdesignerlife #prototyping #collaberation ⠀#businessgrowthstrategy #businessgoals #businessgoals2020 #uxsolutions
